Dr. Ivica Zdravkovic

Dr. Ivica Zdravkovic is founder and head instructor of Shinbukan Dojo, a private non-profit school of Japanese martial arts located in Pozarevac, Serbia. Zdravkovic sensei is active in martial arts since 1979. He is vicepresident of Serbian Budo Council, martial arts association of budo instructors. Within this organization Zdravkovic sensei has achieved most of his sporting and instructional results.

Zdravkovic sensei is born in 1969 in Pozarevac, Serbia. He is doctor of medicine, and works as a physician. He is married, and has two children, Ana and Jovan. Formerly yudansha in judo, karate and kobudo - rejected these black belts out of disagreement with ranking policy of his parent organizations. Holds black belt in budo arts since 1991. Promoted to 5th DAN/Menkyo Okuden Jujutsu in September 2001, by the Kokusai Yudanshakai of SBC, with the certificate signed by sensei Ian Stewart, 6th DAN aikijujutsu, from England.


Zdravkovic sensei also holds Menkyo Chuden/3rd DAN in Shinbukan Kenjutsu, and is an instructor in judo, karate, aikijutsu and kobudo. He is founder of Kenjutsu International Association of Instructors (KIAI). Serves as a member of Board of Directors within Kokusai Gendai Budo Renmei (KGBR) and KIAI. Member of several other international martial arts organizations, including American Judo&Jujitsu Federation, National and International Black Belt Federation (NIBF), American Ju-Jitsu Association, etc. Active instructor, budo observer and editor of printed and electronic martial arts magazines, books and presentations. Zdravkovic sensei has been awarded several times for his coaching achievements and contribution to development of sports. In June 2003 Zdravkovic sensei received the title of Doctor of Martial Science from American College of Martial Science.
