Greg Goepfert

GM Goepfert has developed a system named "Budo Ryu Shin Gendai Senshi" which translates to "living the martial way as a  true modern warrior". This system of martial arts comes from over 30 years of training in many different martial arts styles.

In addition to founding his own system and being granted Sokeship and a 10th Dan by an international board; GM Goepfert also holds the following internationally recognized ranks:

- 9th Dan JuBoxing Full Contact System

- 7th Dan Tae-Kwon-Do

- 4th Dan Aikido

- 4th Dan Tang Soo Do

- 1st Dan Shotokan

- 1st Dan Jiu-Jitsu

GM Goepfert is a certified Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Instructor under Carlson Gracie Jr. and a G.R.A.C.I.E. certified instructor by Royce Gracie.

GM Goepfert has been inducted into the following Hall of Fames:

- World Karate Union Hall of Fame on June 27th, 2009 as Master of the Year

- Action Martial Arts Magazines Hall of Honors on January 8th, 2010

- The Martial Arts Health and Fitness Association as Founder of the Year for 2010

GM Goepfert spent several years living and training Okinawa, Japan and Korea while serving in the U.S. Air Force. During this time GM Goepfert trained Special Forces and Law Enforcement personnel in hand to hand combat and defensive tactics.

GM Goepfert has many competition victories, including:  1st place in the Okinawa International, 1st in the 1989 World Karate Championships, 1st in Nationals, and 1st place in State. In addition he has several students that have won World, National and State Championships.

GM Goepfert has owned and operated several martial art schools in Illinois, Florida and Okinawa. He has also taught martial arts classes at many academic schools and colleges. He now teaches his Budo Ryu system at Tyndall AFB, FL.

GM Goepfert also works with the following organizations:

-World JFC Federation (Italy)

-World Juboxing Federation (Italy)

-Brazilian Confederation of Traditional Kickboxing (Brazil)

GM Goepfert spent two years assigned to the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office Training Division (12th largest SO in the U.S.) where he was the lead Defensive Tactics Instructor. He was also tasked with instructing all high liability areas to over 1,600 Deputies.

GM Goepfert served as an adjunct instructor for the Palm Beach Community College Criminal Justice Academy where he instructed students in all areas of police work.

GM Goepfert holds Instructor certifications in Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle, Pepperball, Traffic Stops, Driving, etc. In addition he is certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Firearms, Defensive Tactics and Driving.

GM Goepfert has earned Bachelors Degrees in Business Administration and Human Resource Management. He has also earned a MBA with a concentration in Human Resources.
