Fitness boxing
Boxing as a physical training has got a long tradition. Already in the ancient world men and women participated in boxing. Boxing is presumed to be the first practiced sports at all. Without any of brutality the whole human body is trained and strengthened with fitness boxing.
Fitness and coordination abilities are learnt systematically during basic training. The basic training is identical to the training of amateur and professional boxing.
The training starts with extensive warming up which contains skipping, shadow-boxing, basic training in front of a mirror, exercises with special equipment (balls, light dumbbells) weight-training for gaining strength and endurance and then it leads into stretching and functional gymnastics.
Instructions in different combinations and reflex-training are done with a sparring partner. Many counter-techniques are practiced as well as different fighting styles either with a
partner or with a sandbag.
I’ve created this variation of boxing to reduce the prejudices against sport of boxing and to make it interesting for people who only know boxing via TV.
In all my courses I’ve learned that participants appreciated and accepted this new variation of boxing. |
